PowerGrid JE Recruitment 2024 Notification Out; Check Details and Apply Online

PowerGrid India Ltd (PGCIL) has released the official notification inviting applications from interested and eligibile candidates for Junior Engineer, Surveyor & Draughtsman Posts. There are a total of 38 vacancies opened for the mentioned positions.

As mentioned in the official notification of PGCIL the upper age limit for the mentioned posts is between 31 – 32 years (age relaxation as per rules). Candidates selected for the above-mentioned positions will be paid a monthly salary between Rs. 22,000 – 1,18,000/-. The selection of applicants will be based on the Written Test + Trade test of the shortlisted candidates based on marks obtained in the written test.

Applicants who are not exempted have to pay an application fee upto Rs. 300/-. Eligibility Criteria of PGCIL JE Recruitment 2024

Below we have summarized the required eligibility criteria such as qualification required, age limit, experience, etc. Candidates are advised to go through the eligibility criteria before applying for any post mentioned in the notification.

Educational Qualification

As mentioned in the official notification of PGCIL. We have mentioned the post-wise qualification required below:-

1. Junior Engineer (Survey Engineering): Full-Time Regular Three Years Diploma in Survey Engineering OR Diploma in Civil Engineering (with survey as a subject). Higher technical qualification like B.E./ B.Tech etc. with or without a Diploma, is not allowed.
   
2. Surveyor: Full-Time Regular Two Years ITI (Surveyor). Higher technical qualification like Diploma/ B.E./ B.Tech etc. with or without ITI, is not allowed.
   
3. Draughtsman: Full-Time Regular Two Years ITI (Draughtsman Civil) / ITI (Architectural Draughtsman). Higher technical qualification like Diploma/ B.E./ B.Tech etc. with or without ITI, is not allowed.

Age Limit

Application Fee

Interested and eligibile candidates who wish to apply have to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 300/- for the post of Junior Engineer (Survey Engineering) Gr-III and Rs. 200/- for the post of Surveyor Gr-IV and Draughtsman Gr-IV through online mode.

Note: SC/ ST/ PwBD/ Ex-SM candidates are exempted from payment of the application fee.

Selection Process

The selection process of PGCIL Recruitment 2024 will consist of a Written Test through a Computer Based Test of eligible candidates and a Trade Test of the shortlisted candidates based on marks obtained in the written test.

Interested & eligible candidates should apply online through the Powergrid official website https://www.powergrid.in. Any other mode of submission of application would not be accepted. The application window for PGCIL shall be open from 07.08.2024 to 29.08.2024. Candidates have to register themselves online at the PowerGrid website at the Career Section.

PGCIL Exam Pattern

Below we have discussed in brief the exam pattern for the PGCIL JE, Surveyor & Draughtsman positions. The examination will be based on two stages written test and trade test.

Written Test

The Written Test shall be of Objective type (each question shall have four options) of two hours duration consisting of two parts. All questions carry equal marks (1 mark). Wrong & multiple answers would result in negative marks of ¼.

• Part-I consists of a Technical/ Professional Knowledge Test with 120 questions having specific questions from respective discipline.
• Part-II consists of Aptitude Test (AT) with 50 questions on vocabulary, verbal comprehension, quantitative aptitude, reasoning ability, data sufficiency & interpretation, numerical ability etc.

Those candidates who will qualify the written test shall be called for the Trade Test.

Trade Test

The Trade Test will be Qualifying in nature. Qualifying marks in Trade Test shall be 40% for Unreserved/ EWS and 30% for reserved category candidates if posts reserved for the respective category. Trade Test marks shall not carry any weightage in final merit.
