UPSC ESE 2025 Notification Out for 232 posts, Application Form begins on upsc.gov.in

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released official notification of the UPSC ESE 2025 and the registration process has started on September 18, 2024. Candidates who want to apply for the Engineering Services Examination 2025 (ESE 2025) can apply through the official website of UPSC at upsc.gov.in. This recruitment drive will fill up 232 IES Officer (Grade A) positions in various Central Government Departments.

The last date to apply for the Engineering Services Exam 2025 is October 8, 2024. The modification window will open on October 9 and will close on October 15, 2024. Candidates who want to apply should have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on the 1st January 2025. The selection of applicants will be based on Examination (Prelims & Mains).

Interested candidates who meet the requirements as mentioned in the notification can apply online through the official website of UPSC before the last date i.e., 08-10-2024. Applicants who are not exempted have to pay an application fee of Rs. 200/-. Vacancy Details of UPSC ESE 2025

The number of vacancies to be filled through this recruitment drive is expected to be approximately 232 including 12 vacancies for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) (7 vacancies for Locomotor Disability including Leprosy cured, Dwarfism, Acid Attack victims and Muscular Dystrophy and 5 vacancies for Hard of Hearing.

Eligibility Criteria of UPSC ESE 2025

Qualification required for UPSC ESE 2025: Candidates must possess B.E./B.Tech. Degree in the following disciplines from a recognized University or Institution:
i) Civil Engineering
ii) Mechanical Engineering
iii) Electrical Engineering
iv) Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering

Age Limit for UPSC ESE 2025: Candidates who want to apply should have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on the 1st January 2025, i.e., Applicants must have been born not earlier than 2nd January 1995 and not later than 1st January 2004.

Application Fee

The application fee is Rs. 200/- for all candidates. The Female/SC/ST/PwBD are exempted from payment of the fee. The fee can be paid either by remitting the money in any Branch of the State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card/UPI Payment or by using Internet Banking of any Bank. Selection Process

The Selection process of the Engineering Service Examination involves the following Stages:

Stage-1: Engineering Services (Preliminary/Stage-I) Examination (Objective Type Papers) for the selection of candidates for the Stage-II: Engineering Services (Main/Stage-II) Examination;
Stage-2: Engineering Services (Main/Stage-II) Examination (Conventional Type Papers) and
Stage-3: Personality Test

Steps to Apply

Candidates who wish to apply for the mentioned posts should follow the steps mentioned below:-

Step 1: Visit the Union Public Service Commission’s website at www.upsconline.nic.in.
Step 2: Click on the “One Time Registration (OTR) for Examinations of UPSC” available on the homepage.
Step 3: Fill in the basic details like name, gender, date of birth, father’s name, mother’s name, mobile number, email ID, etc. to complete the registration process.
Step 4: Log in to the online application portal by entering your Email ID and Password/OTP.
Step 5: Fill out the application form carefully by entering applicants’ details, examination centre, photograph, signature, fee, etc.
Step 6: Upload the scanned copies of the required documents like photographs, signatures, etc.
Step 7: Make a payment of the online application fee to complete the application process.
Step 8: Finally submit the application form and take a printout for future reference.
